A slotted serving spoon could work too.
LOL! Maybe I will do it just for the plot :D

@Slocke, do you mean the tank is too small for *both* and eel and a tang? or each of them individually? I used to have a snowflake eel there and it was fine, but there was no tang at the same time.

Just saying it’s on the small side for them. Doesn’t mean it won’t work

Interested in adding a sand sifting goby and engineering goby.
Too many sand dwellers?
Will various species of gobies co-exist?
Also interested in Mandarins later on once I establish copepod colony in refugium.

Tank: 150 gal (54x30x24)

Current inhabitants:
Pair Black Ice Clownfish
Royal Gramma
Firefish Exquisite
One Spot Foxface
Yellow Watchmen Goby and pistol shrimp (MIA)
Red Banded Pistol Shrimp
CUC:
5 Mexican Turbos, Tuxedo Urchin, Tiger Conch
Cerith, Nassarius, Margarita, Nerite Snails (5 each)

Sand sifting gobies like a diamond should only be added to well aged tanks as they will starve otherwise.

An engineer goby is good so long as your rocks are stable and sitting on the bottom not on the sand bed

Yes, rocks are secure. They are fixed to horizontal PVC pipes under the sand and directly on the bottom glass. May also make for some good tunnels under the rock for an engineering goby.
Sounds perfect!

I would ideally like to add another fish or two to my 60 gallon tank. What would you suggest?

Currently have: lawnmower blenny, banggai cardinal, melanurus wrasse
Plan to get : flame angelfish, ocellaris clownfish pair, Valentini puffer

Had thought of a helfrichi firefish, but this is now sounding like not the best idea. Another thought is a watchman goby. But very open to things I may not have considered yet too.

It you add the firefish first you may be able to get it settled. You definitely need a lid though.

Watchman goby is fun especially with a pistol shrimp. Just research to make sure you have a shrimp goby.

First idea if you are up for a challenge is a leopard wrasse. Difficult to get settled but awesome once happy. A basslet like a royal gramma is always a solid pick. Crazy idea is a Pygmy wasp fish. May need to train it to normal food.

Why's the firefish a bad idea? I love them! A pair of firefish is stunning too. Seeing two swim around together is awesome. They're jumpers. Usually after a month or three they get comfortable and will always be out. I think it's so cool to watch them dart. It's like they teleport!

Like Slocke said, watchman gobies are cool. Even cooler is a goby- pistol shrimp pair.

Theyre jumpers, hide a lot and often get bullied and even eaten, BUT I have a helfrichi version and doing well because it hides well but always out at feeding time

Is the pistol shrimp likely to survive the valentini puffer and melanurus wrasse?

Thanks! Any recommendations between a yellow watchman and a Randall’s goby? Or anything better? I do like the pink spots, but read that they can be more aggressive?
There’s nothing for it to be aggressive towards so whichever you like more

Considering a Biota cb lemon peel angel for my anemone reef. I know in general they are nippers and can become somewhat aggressive. I'm not too worried about nipping on any of my softies or zoas, they are just filler corals in between my anemone collection.
However, I can't find any info on whether or not they will munch on anemones?
Will my Magnfica, LTA's, BTA's, sebae be safe? Do you think a tiny lemon peel will cause problems with a larger cb regal angel that is already well established in the tank?

Not 100% sure but I do think it's a possibility. Either way the nem will probably win. How big is the tank?

Both are great specimens and scavengers with watchman being the larger

I'm really tempted to try a Queen angel (my favorite fish of all!) as well, but I did recently see a YouTube video of a medium size queen eating LTA's.
