I used a gallon water jug and dumped it in 10 times to make estimated measuring marks. How do you know where to fill it to? I was considering picking up one of these too.

The two Brutes I have are a 33 Gallon and a 44 Gallon filled to the Brim. Where the top of the Handle Bump out inside the Container, is 30 gallon and 40 gallon respectively. I took a Plastic Yard Stick and measured Five Gallons of water, marked at this level, repeated till full. This way I have good idea how much RO/DI and Salt to add to a partial Container. BTW, I recommend the Grey Brutes, they block light, and less will grow inside the containers, plus why spend extra on White or Colors. How do you know where to fill it to? I was considering picking up one of these too.
Unfortunately, it does not fit any of the dolly's made specifically for brute cans, both Rubbermaid and 3rd party are made for the 20 gal and above. I did pick up a plant dolly that is supposed to be good for 500 lbs, and is 16 inch in diameter.Another silly question, has anyone found a wheel base that fits this? 80 lbs / 32 kg of water is still heavy :| maybe I will go with the 20 and that way its a no brainer on the dolly.
Do you get enough flow from that to run it through the DI cannister?!?!?!? I'm very interested.lol. I just bought one as well. I installed a faucet at the bottom.
Hey, yea you will need a pump to push the pressure through.Do you get enough flow from that to run it through the DI cannister?!?!?!? I'm very interested.
Are you by chance willing to give away these secret measurements to a fellow reefer?I used a gallon water jug and dumped it in 10 times to make estimated measuring marks.
Sorry mate, my 10 gallon brute is now stashed behind my tank full of kalkwasser. It's not easy to move when full and the measurements aren't visible with all my cords tucked away. Are you by chance willing to give away these secret measurements to a fellow reefer?
haha it was worth the shot... Appreciate the response.Sorry mate, my 10 gallon brute is now stashed behind my tank full of kalkwasser. It's not easy to move when full and the measurements aren't visible with all my cords tucked away.
I trust you can find 10 mins to discover the answer for yourself though. Fill a 1 gallon water jug, shine a flashlight in it and mark the water level on the outside. Repeat until done.
Figured I'd give you a holler too... You have those measurements handy before I start dumping gallons of water to take some measurements? This is funny. I’ve been using my nano Brute for a couple of years. Measure out gallons. And mark the sides with a sharpie. Makes filling easy.
There you go! Glad you got it figured outAlright... Update... Mission accomplished.
My findings and for anyone's future reference.
