We got a BTA from @Lasse and somehow one clone ended up in the big reef tank. Now they are everywhere, worse than Aiptasia
But in a smaller tank it would be easier to get them out if they start reproduce and spread too much :)

Nice pictures as always. Glad to see the blue sponge. Looking well!

Excuse the pic, almost impossible to get pics of the whole thing without reflections, I love it! :)

I love fish that sit still (this might go in the potm, bit late in the day!), such a fun fish! :)

The cyphastria is settling better again today, I will probably give it another 24 hours before moving it a few inches into a touch more light! ;)

Hopefully as it expands a bit more I will be able to show you the mouth and face! :)

The rock with the zoas is there as a flow blocker, the scopas has cleared the caulerpa, it is a nice piece of rock, I might glue 2 or 3 other zoas on it! :)

ssc is about 7 days in now, I won't start celebrating for at least a week yet! ;)

Dis Waltney appears to be approaching kh hog mode, I will check it again tomorrow, it was 7.8 last weekend. :)

Horizontal acro, enough said, love it loads! ;)

How is your black sponge?

Seems fine, I'll get a pic in a bit, I'm going to put it in the display later by the blue one. :)

I will frag it soon, once it is established I will send you a piece, probably in the spring now, remind me! ;)

Thank you sir something clicked a couple of months ago, it's really hard to explain. :)

Today's main news, I bought a frag.
(I know that is not surprising, read on!) ;)
In the shop it was almost flat green, did I mention I like green? Anywho, it was super healthy with a hint of purple on one tip.
Luckily I like purple as well, this is about 30 minutes after going in.
I have no idea what it is, I bought it because it was so healthy!
3 inch plus frag, £20 / $26, watch the yanks all sulk now! :p

Great day, bad day, the twins are 3 years old today.
*woop* deflated sad balloon emoti thingy!
My daughter popped 'round, brought me prezzies, we talked about the tanks a lot, she is very cool. :)
One of my pezzies! :)

DSC_0002 by sshipuk, on Flickr

I took this just after she left, hoppy birdy tank! :)

DSC_0003 by sshipuk, on Flickr

After I sat down to look at the fts I heard a dripping noise, the new tank that shall not be named had started to leak, the 700 litre max system has the 40 litre contents of that in it now, including 75% of my original sand bed, massive haze, watch it cycle and take my sps out! :(

Sorry Simon. It is like your tanks knew you had the day off and wanted to keep you busy.

Got an acclimation box for the nem?

It stayed put, looks nearly normal this morning.

Thanks, pic to follow.

I am seriously hacked off about it. :(

There are 4 trays like this, that sand bed was my first ever so is ten years or so old, I hate thinking of the micro fauna I have lost.

DSC_0001 by sshipuk, on Flickr

I will clean the base later to see if it cracked or went at a seam.

DSC_0003 by sshipuk, on Flickr

Everything just got dumped in to the cube end, I think I lost the cleaner shrimp and the tuxedo urchin. :(

That is terrible. :( That microfauna was probably reef gold after a decade. At least you had a tank ready for the big stuff, but man that is a big job.

A few of the sps, I need to get pics of every thing, there must have been a mini cycle last night, I guess we will see how the system (hate that word) deals with it over the next couple of weeks!
