Bought a really small Xenia frag yesterday, this IS a tank upgrade post!
The plan all along was to use corals in stead of macro algae, the softies people call a pest are usually called that because they grow so fast!
Fast growth equals nutrient export.

I have held off buying the xenia, which is going in the display fuge cube end by the way, due to the power cut last September, I so nearly had it balanced enough to try then.
My caulerpa is growing way more slowly and l get die off sometimes now.
Bought a really small frag on purpose, this will be one of my new gauges as to how the water is!

Off to the lfs in a bit if I have been un clamped, they just posted their weekend update and Indo. corals have arrived!
Green guy has sulked for 2 days because I moved it, seems a bit happier this morning!

My anacropora is very healthy and growing but this angle (front) shows the stems, it will be fragged soon.

Dip and snip time this afternoon me thinks, this is looking sketchy, not the cyano and the damage is very old.

I just changed out the carbon and added a phos media in a bag, the cyano seems quite happy, time to change things up a gear!
I can feel it coming back to me but it is very slow!
3 G water change done (yellow water out), skimmer working it's butt off, time to work it out!
