I always thought this with my freshwater cichlids. I had one tank with Oscars and a Green Terror. The terror was the most colorful and ruled the tank. I later added a Red Devil, a beautiful bright red fish. He was half their size, yet immediately had the others all pinned to one side of the tank. Saw this happen other times with cichlids in the fish store I worked at in college. The brightest, most colorful ones were always in charge.You think his colour has something to do with aggression?
