I was wondering if mystery wrasses are aggressive towards other wrasses? I have a 3" mystery in my 90gal currently and I'm thinking about adding a radiant wrasse or some kind of fiary wrasse.

i had one that killed every fish i put in my tank.

However many are perfectly fine with everyone.

Ill try one again, but it will be the last one that goes in my tank.

Radiants can hold their own, I have had mine for 3+ years. Right now my wrasse list in male rhomboids, male flame, mystery, radiant & yellow coris. The mystery does like to chase female fairy wrasses though :(

So far my mystery wrasse hasn't shown any aggression towards any of the other fish. I think I'm going to try a radiant and a yellow coris wrasse and see what happens. I have another fish only tank that I can put the fish if they start getting hammered by the mystery.

It is going to vary. I kept one with a 6-line for over a year and never had a problem until the 6-line committed harakiri, but others say that combination never works. Fairy wrasses are rather passive so that may not be the best choice, but the others would probably be OK.

I have a mystery... first fish to go in.
Then tang.
pair of skunk cleaner shrimp
solarensis wrasse
chromis

the only fish that has gotten any trouble was the solarensis but since the chromis went in there's a lot less harassment to the solarensis and the shrimp have never been bothered.
