my maroon clown (from TenUhC) is scared of the damsel, even though he is bigger. Wonder if I get another maroon clown they will be more agressive

I told you he was a wimp. He was terrorized by a domino damsel. Your maroon probably thinks he is a prison girlfriend.

Is your stand a refrigerator? That would be convenient if it is.

yes it is.. i stablized the fridge to make sure it would not wobble... i can put all my fish foods in there and i thought it was visually ok! Both my freshwater 30gal and 50gal have wood stands so i may at some time find one i like to move it over if i find myself changing it in some way

I've thought it would be interesting to fill a good sized tank with a mess load of damsels and chromis. Would be the saltwater version of a cichlid tank LOL

Cichlids run both my 30 and 55 gal freshwaters.. they are difficult fish

I've heard that cichlids were difficult. The transition to salt may be easier than you think when you see how easy clowns are to keep.

Those are some very pretty cichlids.
I am sure you will come to adore your saltwater with all the variation of fish and inverts you can have.

It is always exciting when you are getting started, but then it gets boring waiting for the tank to mature. It is worth the wait though.

I think the aquascape is really up to the creators eye for what he/she likes as long as you keep in mind where the corals need to be in the tank n provide footing for them

and i like your layout.. i try to put mine so i can see all sides of the rock but put my corals to the front so i can see them.. may be why my anemones' like to go to the back lol
