Bit of a shameless bump but how is the reefbot working out for you? What is it’s accuracy like? How long is your reagents lasting? Any issues?
Has it improved your tank? Stabilized it more for you or fixed issues you may have been having w/ testing using other testers or anything else?I’ve had mine running since February and I love it. Im very satisfied and well worth the investment. I’m on a schedule testing ALK, CA daily, NO3 and PO4 every other day and Mag every couple days. I just have to switch out the 3 NO3 reagents and out in the 3 mag. It’s fairly easy to adjust the app for the new tests and it saves your data. As slewrock points out you do get some bad readings from time to time, but I’ve found that it’s almost always human error..reagents to low, waste full, need to change needles, RO res empty.. I do burn through reagents but you can buy refills instead of full kits.. but it’s doing a lot of testing. Much more than I was or would be doing manually. I’ve found results to be very consistent and I trust them.
Yes, big improvements it’s much more stable because to be honest I was getting lazy with testing.. it’s hard to run 2-4 manual tests daily or at least a couple times a week which is necessary especially with SPS. Couple times it’s pointed me to doser that was out of 2part or plug loose.. I changed salt mix and Alk was moving up so adjusted dosing... my scrubber was dropping NO3 to 0 so adjusted feeding and light schedule..this was just over a few months. After many years of being tied to maintenance, I’ve tried to automate as much as possible so I could enjoy the tank and this was a good fit for that. I’ll be honest it’s not set and forget, it requires some upkeep as said in earlier mail but benefits to me far exceed. We’ll see if others feel the sameHas it improved your tank? Stabilized it more for you or fixed issues you may have been having w/ testing using other testers or anything else?
0.5dKHBut at what resolution?
The ReefBot is now compatible with ELOS The Aquarium Company KH test kit. You can read your alkalinity levels between 5 and 14 dKH !

Here's a list of the compatible kits.Ok.,.excuse my total ignorance.. but am I correct.. you purchase reagents .. so for example.. the salifert calcium test kit has a powder and two liquids.. so how does that work with RB?
API Ca is also working great and giving very accurate results.ok.. so the calcium test kit .. only red sea then.. got it ... but reagent b is a powder. Am i missing something here?
It’s accurate but keep in mind that it’s still in beta. It can do 11 tests before refillThanks.. got it... Are you guys seeing accurate results with the Red Sea Test kit? How many tests can you get out of the unit before having to fill the reagents. ?
