Just watched some news.
Thoughts and vibes out to all that need...
night all...

I had to turn it off, can't watch anymore. It was 2 years ago, to the day, that my area(swfl) took a direct hit from hurricane ian. Something about seeing widespread devastation, many lives lost, knowing everywhere that I grew up going has been destroyed, countless peoples homes destroyed.. it's sad to see it happening again so close. Even though helene didn't make landfall here, many of the same places that flooded last time flooded again. These people spent the last 2 years gutting and rebuilding their homes, many of which haven't been completed for 6 months, just to be flooded again. I didn't realize I still felt some kind of way about, ptsd is real.

My dads in South Carolina and he said it looks like a war zone with all the destruction from the storm


He has a whole house generator so he’s fine but he said they will be without power for at least a week

Its been so nice since an ubuntu update broke my DIY MythTV DVR... been no news... wife made me fix it for fall TV.

when the thing works its great... it automagically removes the ads - don't even need to fast forward through them. I put in a 4TB drive so no worries about space... though now I see they have 16TB drives.
