Sha pow. Yes the feed tube will be above the water line to avoid a back siphon when the return pump stops.
Could put this upstairs so it feeds directly to the tank as well. But I'm hesitant to do that because it's much warmer upstairs. This little fridge will only keep things 20-28 degrees below room ambient temp. So me thinks better in the basement. But that means the food is going thru the return pump and plumbing. I normally turn the return pump off when I feed so it doesn't get sucked back down. So not sure what the better solution is at this point. At least it's done and works for chunky frozen food.

Sheeeeeeeesh you smort.

That is really cool. Interested in maintenance on that kamoer . Has to be far less time investment than daily feeding

It's more for when I'm on vacation. Man doesn't like to come out to the house just to feed the fish. Neighbors will but I had the pump and thought I'd give it a try. Fridge was Black Friday grab for 25$
Edit: thanks for the compliment. I'm no rocket scientist but I did stay at a holiday in express last night.

My wife's sister has a "Cowboy" themed wedding (not the Football team) and I threatened to make Croc boots or flip flop boots. She said she might shoot me if I showed up in either. I just went barefoot instead.

Well tonight I noticed what appears to be a missing scale or two on top of my blue velvet damsel.

IMG_6029.jpeg

I didn’t see any blood thankfully but I want to make sure this isn’t the beginning of either vibrio or uronema. He’s swimming and acting normally and hasn’t lost his appetite at all. He’s not flashing either and I haven’t seen any fish beating up on him. No other fish are showing any issues.

Hopefully he just brushed up against a rock or something. He wasn’t missing any scales yesterday. I first noticed this around 8 tonight so just a couple hours ago.

Today is the day I turn the reef lights on to siphon some Dino’s to turn it back off for three more days.

In the mean time I’m watching videos on YouTube of setting up the little max nano Red Sea. What an adorable little tank. I have no reason to watch them I’m just bored lol.
