Somehow I misplaced a frag of goni. Was on the sand, now there's a clean spot where it used to be. Neither of the urchins have it. Can't see it dropped anywhere. Redecorating lil buggers ....
It's behind the rocks... That's where my missing frags end up everytime.

Didn't want to gross out the non hunters here, so this is the picture. The rest are bloody or missing parts or otherwise a little gory. Dang thing is so much bigger than a deer. We always process ourselves, never with a butcher, so this elk will take a long time to package. Plus now this year I have better tools, a meat slicer, better grinder and smoker, so I'm looking forward to it! The only thing I wish I had was a meat band saw for processing, but that'll be next year hopefully. That is one happy day for my tiny dog. She'll get a big ol bone to herself. So big she can't carry it. It'll look like a dinosaur bone compared to her tiny body.

I know, I'll go on a recon mission soon. It wasn't one that glows at all from the lights so it'll be a little harder to spot. The first frag they've messed with in a long time. Thankfully not my purty one that was sitting right next to it.

The bulls stopped bugling in our third day. The herds we were getting on were huge though! Unfortunately no real opportunities.

They don't bugle here often. Too many wolves here called in and they learn to be quiet.

Plus they plan seasons around the rut, archery gets the full rut, then a break before modern firearm, which is just after all the good rut times. Then muzzleloader season when snow is on the ground. Which at that point bugling is pointless for both gun seasons anyway, they're done with that.

ah coffee time....smoker came on Friday. Along with the Reef Octopus 300 INt skimmer for the 300..And the 32 inch BBQ, they sent it on a full size pallet. The box was as big as a pallet and 30 inches tall. Had to use a friends pickup to get it home...
