I mix IO and RC a 34 gallon BRUTE can at a time. 2 scoops of each (4cup measure full to about 5) and I'm good.
I usually do 2.5 scoops (mostly IO) let it mix then use that for Phyto; then add the rest of the salt and its ready for AWC.

Although I can’t afford to switch salt types until late winter or early spring, I’m going to be researching the different brands out there. It’s been a while since I did that kind of research so I’m going to start on that.

I use Reef Crystals currently. I’d like to know what salt mixes all of you use. It’s going to be a year before I even think of acropora of any type. Still I want to have the change done while I don’t have a tank full of SPS.

So what salt mixes do you all use? What do you like best about them? Thank you all for the help.

I’m in no rush to switch just yet. I need to finish plumbing the closed loop and get the inline pump plumbed in before I make the switch, if I even switch.

Double posting cause I forgot to show off my daughters new addition.

I seriously tried so hard to talk her out of this and into a tank. She never listens to me lol.

He smells. Even after a bath he’s a stinky boy

Guess the breeds haha. We don’t even know, save mom and she’s not what you’d think!
