I was never that into vlamingi tangs until I started seeing yours. At a potential 21 inches though I don’t think that’s happening in my tank but I can live vicariously through you. Can't wait till Tuesday...

Reef Crystals.Although I can’t afford to switch salt types until late winter or early spring, I’m going to be researching the different brands out there. It’s been a while since I did that kind of research so I’m going to start on that.
I use Reef Crystals currently. I’d like to know what salt mixes all of you use. It’s going to be a year before I even think of acropora of any type. Still I want to have the change done while I don’t have a tank full of SPS.
So what salt mixes do you all use? What do you like best about them? Thank you all for the help.
I’m in no rush to switch just yet. I need to finish plumbing the closed loop and get the inline pump plumbed in before I make the switch, if I even switch.
That’s one of the biggest reasons I’m not in a big rush to switch. I would like to find a salt mix that gives a real 160 gallons but at 1.026. If it’s twice as much money though it’s not really a bargain. I’m encouraged by the vote tally so far. But please, keep ‘em coming.Reef crystals is where i will be going w...red sea blue and red bucket mixing both half and half mirrors my parameters in tank....just costly....
