I got two of the three big rocks cleaned and ready to go in. I’m too tired to get anything else done tonight though so I’m gonna “rock” the tank tomorrow.

One of my nems gave me a scare today. When I got home from walking the dogs I noticed a nem missing. It was there before I left. I looked for it for the better part of an hour and never did see it. Just as I was getting ready to go upstairs for the night I saw it literally pop out of a hole it normally only keeps its foot in. Thankfully it’s still doing good.

How much water are you evaporating daily and how many days do you need between topping off your ATO? Mine's 10 gallons and lasts roughly 1 week (less in the middle of summer).

In the heat wave where we had 80 plus dew point temperatures I only had a gallon or two of evaporation. I’m getting about 4 a day of evaporation.

I don’t have the sump hooked up yet although I’m going to do a temporary hookup soon and then I’ll get the overflow I want and epoxy it in. The hard plumbing, overflow, etc should be in before Thanksgiving.

Once that’s in I’m not sure how much more evaporation there’ll be. I want to avoid covering the sump or the DT so that I can maximize the oxygen level. I want to get some egg crate cut for the DT to keep wrasses in as well as any jumper really.

My system is 360 gallons I fill my 20 gallon ato every 4 days with 5 to 15 gallons depending on humidity and what not...
