I am having a similar issue. I chase brightwells alk8.3 to raise my alk (and ph). Pretty simple and easy. I got the powder. I was at below 7 now I'm at 8. Test test test so you don't over do it.

Good morning everyone...:)
too early for thinking , don't do what I do , 30+yrs liquid cal, alk ,nutrients ,in a bottle never tested, watched
ph monitor & coral growth only .
now the last 3 yrs , baking soda and liquid additives , always ran phos remover, denitrate and, carbon only when
needed, still have ph monitor, and test why ?? i don't know ? usually a waste of time...;):)
