Yea i am gonna have to break down and use marco or nyos i am a gan of aquaforest but heard its a little hardto work with....nyos is a quick set so should help accomplish what i need but am going to have to go with dry rock for this and use what pieces will fit of the tank rock. from my research sounds like mortar and wet rock take forever to cure....and would cause some die off in the process.
I have had luck with an epoxy/superglue combination, but I did use the stuff marketed for aquarium use so it was obviously overpriced. I've used the stuff from Petco/Smart and from BRS. This seems to be the best deal but idk how much you need...

Not gonna hop in that thread, but fwiw @tbrown3589 I've kept filefish for years in my tanks. They're fairly cheap around here, if I get them young they're usually pretty well behaved as well. I've had one who had a thing for acans, after he wiped out all visible aiptasia - I rehomed him with that warning - he went into a fowlr tank and helped clean that up at his new home. My most recent trouble maker nipped leather polyps and gorg polyps. Most of them have been great though.

I had a chocolate tang who killed my best one  she was a b, she got rehomed for being such a bully.
I had another one who got chased during feeding and jumped through the feeding hole then mummified under the lights - I missed it because it was auto-feeder and I didn't think to look at the lighting. This was also during tang keeping times. They got a little crazy during feeding and stressed out some of my more passive fish.
Recently, my damsels teamed up to bully one into a corner and by the time I got home and realized what was happening it was too late. Not too long after, one damsel did the same thing to another. Can't wait to rehome that jerk....

Anyway, most likely, you'll be fine.
I think this is the key to success, once they have finished with aiptasia move them on unless you have one like my current one that doesnt touch aiptasia lol

eMarco-400. I really liked it. Did CA and eMarco. I'd use the CA to hold the rock in place so the eMarco could dry. I'd do one layer at a time.
I also did the epoxy CA method.

I think they're about the same difficulty-wise... epoxy costs more.
Yeah, I used the Macro-400 stuff too. I had reservations about buying it too, for the cost and the place you have to buy it from. But in the end it worked best for me without drying out my live rock. Rock needs to stay out of water for an hour for cement to set, but used wet paper towels to cover it and spray it with saltwater in a spray bottle ever so often. I did let it sit in a bin of saltwater for 24 hours before putting it back in the tank. Didn’t have any issues.

Thanks everyone i think i might have to go with the marco now gonna have to get it ordered....good to know about using the existing rock. Did you see any spikes in nutrients with it being out of the tank for 24hrs?

You could do a little at a time so it’s not all out of the water at the same time. May take longer to do but would be safer for nutrient spikes

Lol , sushi is da bomb.

3500 cal to a lb, is the internet stat. Basically you have to run roughly 35 miles or not eat for a day and a half.

Crazy stat ,shocked me.

I used Marco 400. It was during cycle and didn't test. Accidentally broke a rock at joint other week, super glued it back. My fault holding a small pebble and lifting a boulder.

There is only one place in Indiana I will eat sushi and it’s a bit of a drive but totally worth it. We haven’t been there in years though, so I’m hoping it’s still good.

I’m going to ignore the rest of your post. ;)
