I've read mixed reviews on anthias eating from the surface vs water column. One of the reasons I haven't started that colony yet - I don't have my plank set back up which disperses into the water column instead. Other reason being I don't want to risk more fish in a move.

I run my auto feeder into my return section. The food falls and is sucked up by the return pump. It gets pushed into the tank below the surface and the fish can get all of it in the water column. None of it goes over the overflow.

I already fed 3x a day on the days I go to the office and 3-5 times when home so that shouldn't be an issue ( I don't think??)

I really wouldn't mind having an auto feeder also going for the evening time.
I have two auto feeders feeding twice a day. One with pellets, one with flakes.

this was like us leaving for 4 days and them only getting fed 2 times during that time.

The other fish can handle that. Anthias i think not.

The Wrasse still not sure. Ended up finding him today :/

no white spot, no white blushing still fatty.
Dang so sorry :(

We have a small school of 5 anthias, lyrtail and we only feed 2 times a day, but we do feed heavy for the tangs.

Ours eat out of the column and off the floor. I think they will learn to eat where food goes but I understand the process ;)

1 went male and keeps the other 4 in check...it's actually pretty funny to watch him try to contain them all

I will say the layout of the lagoon probably helps a bit an I think we just lucked out :thinking-face::zany-face:

Corals plank, fish plank, therefore i walk the plank.

part of learning. sometimes things arent explainable unless i turn into Jay or become a marine biologist...

Turning the tank around. keeping nutrients up. hoping for the best. Really want the acros to take off and to replace some torches I lost.

Do have some fish goals as well.

An ehim auto feeder is like $30..
I have this one and like it.

I run my auto feeder into my return section. The food falls and is sucked up by the return pump. It gets pushed into the tank below the surface and the fish can get all of it in the water column. None of it goes over the overflow.
Good idea. I will have to try it.
