Hey Petcrazyson....can you post a pic of the issue you want to fix so I can look at it and try and offer you suggestions? I already have a idea but not sure if it is a solution that will work..
I’m out atm but I’ll be getting you some pictures as well as for cru. Thx for the help :)

Good morning y'all... :)
Feeling alot better. After some jogging to get the fluids flowing. sickness is on the mend.

contest frag is still alive :)

Scrubbed some algae off my big green nepthea colony.... it was choking tissue underneath. Weird anyone else dealt with that on leathers?

well the 300 is now 1 year 1 month old and I suspect that the dry rock I used is leaching PO4..Last week green hair algae started taking hold on some of the rocks. I also added 3 Kessil A 360X to the 4 Radion Gen 5 xr30 blues I have on the tank. Running Kessil at full blue 50% and Radion on LPS setting at 40%. Kessils on from 9 to 9 and Radions on from now noon to 6 for last few months. I just unplugged the Radions to cut white light to see if green and now some red algae dies. I am thinking of removing 2 Radions and running the 300 with 3 kessils and 2 Radions. Since I am running the Radions at 40% since anything more is too bright. I have lots of snails and two lettuce nudi's. Going to add a bio ball reactor very soon to help. Anyone have ideas? input? While I have my coffee...The 2 Radions if I remove them will be used for the frag tank I am going to make from cutting my old 140 (72x20x22) in half and making two frag tanks by adding a acylic to the top of one half ,which will then be the new bottom....
I can’t say much about the actual lights since my light set up is completely different, 2 Reefi Duo Extremes and 36” 4 lamp t5 over a 120g, but I had the same issues with gha kick up back in Sept/October, tank will be 1yr old in April…started out with manual removal and adding more snails, couldn’t keep up with the gha. Added pin cushion early December and it put a small dent in it in over a couple of weeks…during the holidays I made a couple of executive decisions on a plan to eradicate the gha…first I got a par meter (Black Friday deal) and used it to set my lights for the par I wanted (based my target par off of some suggestions from a couple of the “locals” on here) and then adjusted color. This part was done in early December.

On 31 December, I dosed the tank with Flux Rx… I don’t typically like or trust the “quick” fixes and this is not a product plug for them ;) , but I watched and read a lot of reviews on it before trying it… and actually waited a full month after purchasing before using it…my tank was cleared of gha in a little over a week…no ill effects on any livestock at all. I’ve not had any gha return so far.

My opinion, getting rid of the gha has allowed me to see what my nutrient levels actually are, thus allowing me to control them better with other methods, in my case, I was finally able to get macros growing in the sump now that enough of my nutrients are getting down to it instead of being sucked up by the gha.

Pistol and goby got a bright idea in the night to start building a big shelled crater bunker in the middle of the tank. :face-with-rolling-eyes:
