I hear yeah. It’s tough for sure. Honestly I think our company is one of the very few that stick so closely to the contracted time. We estimate 7 to 8 months from the time we start digging the basement and in the 10 years I’ve worked here I think we have only gone over once because it was super custom fancy house. I hear stories like yours all the time. It’s definitely frustrating. Building houses is high stress for sure. And lack of communication makes it 10 times worse.They also told us initially we'd receive communication on any delays in supply chain, etc so that we'd know what was going on "every step of the way". We've heard nothing until now and they're acting like everything has been delayed and how dare we ask if there's an update on anything. We get communication on other builds all the time asking to meet for x or y or to confirm change orders that aren't ours. Personally, it feels like they're too disorganized to even expect things to move smoothly.
