and you want to add 2 more bars ?
would at least take some weight off rim, anchor a wire from 90 on mount to wall at ?? 33 -45 degrees

Ok…I can’t see if I quoted or not so… there is already a lot of downward force going on there at the ends of your light mounts, I would not add the other 2 to that set up. Can the glass handle it?…probably, it’s the mounts that bother me…is it possible to hang them from the ceiling…or bolt light mounts to wall behind tank

@Nate Chalk
These braces will fail with 2 more units attached. They already look like they are leaning forward. I could be wrong.

Yeah it says the kit supports 24 lbs, this would be 28lbs, i could always get another arm? but thats 24 lbs + 3 kessils on the rim of glass suspended

Tank looks rimless. You're asking for trouble. Sometimes even rimmed tanks, we've used plywood to even out pressure points. It isn't difficult for these arms to chip, crack glass.

I don't recall the last time I heard about that.

Honestly you would probably be better buying some L bracket, conduit, In a tubing vendor and creating yourself a 4 -point attachment to either the wall or the back of the tank. No ceiling wires, run them straight back down the conduit.

Any examples of what this looks like? I was leaning towards @fishguy242 's idea to anchor to the wall at a 45 or so with eye hooks

I used extruded aluminum for my light mounts, but will give you an idea on how it can be done

I used heavy duty shelf brackets with a painted shelf on top and then gridded out the bottom of the shelf and mounted the lights with longer bolts that the heads are recessed into the shelf.

Tons of options out there.
