The weather patterns are upside down nationally. Normally we would be in the 80's and 90's but we have not gone above the high 70's. And the rain....we are having flooding in our region extending to Yellowstone. This would have been a banner production year for wheat farmers but many did not plant this spring due to high fuel and fertilizer prices. It might have been the answer to international wheat needs but second guessing will only short the wheat market again. 30 percent of the world's wheat is produced in Ukraine and now that is missing from the supply chain.

Now back to our regularly scheduled fish and coral discussion! Oh yeah and pictures!

How low par? I only have the stock LED lights on my biocube. :thinking-face:
I don't know the lowest the can take, I can say, mine absolutely hate direct light. I had to build a cave around it. I would say 50 par is comfortable.

While some corals are more light loving than others, Trachyphyllia tend to be less demanding. In fact, they probably fare better in less intense lighting conditions. We primarily keep Trachyphyllia in low to medium light intensity here at Tidal Gardens which is around 50 to 100 PAR.

Bio cube... Length and width? His brains are kind of big.
20 long x 21 W I dont have a lot of real estate on my sand bed. The best spot with the most room is my pistol shrimp's playground :face-with-rolling-eyes:. He's constant bulldozing, so unless they likes to be periodically covered in sand, or I get a new tank :thinking-face:, it might not be a good fit even if my lights could keep it happy.

Not sure how they do when it comes to mounds of sand. My wrasse spits on mine all the time. If your sand bed looks like your last FTS, you got room. Up to you. I don't know the par level of your lights though. Only thing.

He also has other coral you may like. Skip the online frag sales and get a couple of colonies. Unless it is a must have.

I'm aware of poison hemlock in the area, though I've never dealt with it myself.
Burning may be a bad idea if the poison works like poison ivy; the smoke can carry the poison into the air and increase chance for inhalation. Poison ivy irritation in the lungs is no joke! (I've never personally reacted to poison ivy and may be immune though not proven, so no personal experience...)
