I haven't gotten caught up enough to see if this was resolved yet or not. But if you push just slightly on their mantle there will be resistance if they are alive. It will squish straight in if they're dead.

Afternoon all. Woke up at 430 with some kind of atrocious fever. Spent 2 hours unable to touch anything because my skin was hyper sensitive pouring sweat until it finally subsided around 630. Woke up again extremely dehydrated but otherwise feeling fine. Not sure what that was about

Starting to plan equipment lists for the cube & peninsula in my future. Trying to figure out how much of what I already have is transferable to one or the other. Also sitting down to figure out corals, how many do I need to frag off for the transition vs saving the entire thing, etc.

Any advice? Tips? Etc

no idea, it's FL - I get bit by something daily. and close enough!

i plan to try and keep any rock with encrusters that I like. porites, the one monti, etc. All my nonviolent stuff will likely stay in the cube longterm to hang with the seahorses/pipefish. leathers, goni, sponges, gorgs, palys/zoas, some of the chill encrusters that aren't so flow demanding, etc. i'll use the peninsula for any other sps/lps that i keep.
