The Foxface is maybe six inches long, and it now has a half-inch stab wound just above the pectoral fin (the fin also has a nick in it).

With the trouble getting medication on this side of the pond I'm hoping he can just shrug it off. He's in good condition, fat and active. Fingers crossed.

I've never seen any sign of aggression, so it may have been a misunderstanding.

Fish, eh?

Tail strikes area defense to a threat even if not intended. While they can heal on their own, keep an eye on area for redness or sores in which treatment will be warranted using a broad spectrum treatment like seachem Kanaplex

This is quite astounding: there is very little sign of the wound tonight. Because of this apparent healing power, and his yellow / black colouration, he is now called Wolverine.

One of my clowns has a little hole in his side, no doubt from our tang, looks better than it first was but never fully healed over and doesn't seem to bother him, it's like he's been shot

My foxface has survived jumping out of tank 3 times two medications treatments with being in quarantine for 60 days duringfallow years ago. Hardy fish. He also has spiked me when I was trying to get him back in the tank. Now have a lid...
