So the time has finally come to upgrade from my 14g AIO to a proper sized cube. I have what I believe is a Solana 60 cube that I got second hand. The stand had some water damage but some friends are coming this weekend to help fix it. I have a box of LR in a tube ready to go. Now I want to start getting my fish and put them in QT so they are ready as well. What I am hoping for is some stocking recommendations. Assume that money is no object (nothing crazy like over $1000 per fish however I get fish free or at cost from work) what would you put into a dream 60 cube livestock wise?

For a 60 cube, I would stick with small to medium size fish. Maybe some colorful wrasses and/or designer clownfish.

In my 60 I focused a lot on coral so a yellow coris wrasse was a good selection, they don't ship well but once acclimated they are bullet proof. Nice yellow color, extremely active and actively hunts the more problematic hitchhikers. I like to keep mine open top and when he gets scared he kindly buries himself rather than jump. I also agree with a nice pair of clowns, however the tank seems the perfect size for them to feel the whole thing is their territory but its nice that they get out and swim around. I had a nice bonded pair of yasha gobies that looked really nice until my clowns decided they no longer wanted them in there...

If you have a cover I personally think a small shoal of firefish would look rather nice darting about the tank, not sure if you can mix the colors but if so that would be something you don't see often

Really depends if you plan to keep an open too IMO. If you do than I would put a pair of designer clowns, pair of blotched anthias, maybe a school of red dot cardinals. If you plan on putting a screen then I would put a trio of helfrichi instead of the cardinals.
