Is there a reason for this ? Why it’s happening ? How I can do to fix it ?That seems to be a monti cap which is sps and it looks like the dark spots are necrosis where the flesh has died showing the skeletal structure.
It just happened so quickly ! A day ago or 2 it was perfect ! Why so quick ? What could be the cause/fix? And thank you for your helpIs there a reason for this ? Why it’s happening ? How I can do to fix it ?
Did you add any new coral or fish? Any changes to the water, lighting/flowIt just happened so quickly ! A day ago or 2 it was perfect ! Why so quick ? What could be the cause/fix? And thank you for your help
Nope! I added one tiny drag last night but how could that be the cause of all this ?Did you add any new coral or fish? Any changes to the water, lighting/flow

Pics of area are distant of the spots which look to be sponge but if necrosis, some causes are:
It shouldn't, but some of these necroses - if caused by a protonzoan or bacteria can progress quickly.. How old is the tank, etc. Parameters can be important as other have said - but it doesn't sound like anything is 'new'. BTW - at least to me - 'drag' is not a common abbreviation - what is it?Nope! I assumed it was a typo and he meant fragBTW - at least to me - 'drag' is not a common abbreviation - what is it?
I think his tank was run down and he stopped caring, so I assume my parameters were betterConsidering these corals were moved just last week, you are likely seeing a result of the disruption. Did you match the parameters of the seller?
YesDidn't this tank and all the livestock just go through a move?
All Hannah checkersList parameters and what test kits you are using.
That's not exactly the point. Even if his parameters were suboptimal and yours are optimal, the parameter swing is our concern.I think his tank was run down and he stopped caring, so I assume my parameters were better
I was thinking bleach and not necrosis, idk If they are the same thing but yes, the tank is rather new 7-8 months and I just stocked a heavy amount of corals a week ago. I miss typed, i meant frag, does smth like this is it possible it works out and heals itself since it’s in shock? It shouldn't, but some of these necroses - if caused by a protonzoan or bacteria can progress quickly.. Once this starts some would frag off the good parts and re-mount in an effort to save the coral.
It is possible - but to me looks fairly extensive and bleaching is usually 'white'I was thinking bleach and not necrosis, idk If they are the same thing but yes, the tank is rather new 7-8 months and I just stocked a heavy amount of corals a week ago.
