So I got the tank running and used a bunch of rock I’ve had in my sump for a few months.

I ordered a Smatfarm 95 watt light from Amazon for $145 and gotta say I’m pretty impressed. I’m hitting 150 par on average at the top of my rocks with blues and purple at 100% and whites and green at 20-40% depending on the channel. I plan to probably add another one of these lights soon.

I just got back from my friends house and there are just over 20 rainbow bubble tips he gave me. With more available. So hopefully this works out!

Gonna throw a few leathers in also like neon green toadstool and devils hand and a Kenya or pineapple type tree leather.

Well I couldn’t stand the bare bottom anymore and this is basically my “wife’s” tank now… and she wants inverts and things that enjoy sand. So the water is still cloudy but it looks so much better now.

Well the nem tank has plenty of life in it.. the clowns, a fire fish, the cow fish and a slew of snails and inverts are in the tank.
I have a white tail bristletooth in qt that will be finished soon and it will join the rest of this crew. Other than that, I think I want some more blues out of the lights to allow these nems to show some colors.

So the nem tank is plugging along nicely! Everything is doing well. The nems are getting their bubbles, the clowns are in all of them, the cow fish is just calm and awesome and the white tail tang is great.

There are some unique inverts that are well hidden but they are good too. A calico crab as big around as a tennis ball stays buried most of the time as does a sand sifting star and a very large conch. A couple of serpent stars and a flame scallop are hiding also.

But this tank is by far simple! The water used for water changes come from my reef tank when it gets a water change. Two heaters and one return pump and filter floss.

I just scored a 2 month used reefbreeders photon v2 pro 32 for $150…. Had to drive a couple of hours to get it but so worth it, Hopefully this will let the nems glow in all their glory.

I have the photons on my 180 and love them. Can’t wait to see the tank tomorrow when lights come up!

Hi, I was looking to buy the same tank. Can you kindly tell me which arm length you chose for the AI Prime?

Thank you!

I’m pretty sure I got the 12”. I bought the bundle with waterbox and that’s what is included currently
Thank you very much! Can I kindly ask which par you achieved with the settings you have posted in one of your images? I can't find a par meter where I live, and I was wondering about the top, middle and low par that you had in the 65.4 (based on your rock work). Again, thank you for your time.

The 65.4 aio came with 2 ai primes. I decided pretty quickly I needed a 3rd to get better coverage. After I got three lights set up I had then got a par meter. I can’t recall what the settings were but likely near 90-100% blues, 15-20% red, green and whites about 30%.. but that’s kinda a guess,, these pics were from February 2022.
