Montipora turning color

I have 60 gal innovative marine. Been running for over ten years.
Came home the other day and discover our cat somehow fell into the tank.
Fish are being shy, but all survived.
Corals are a different story.
I have a green and a red Montipora that have gone completely white
My star polyps haven’t come out

But why the color change, I have fresh carbon in the fuge along with purigen and chemi pure, been using for months.

Any ideas as to why the months died or turned white?

Do you treat your cat with topical flea/tick medication? If so, I’m sorry to say this might only be the beginning of the end… I’d dump a truckload of carbon in your sump and do some water changes.

No I do not.

Fish haven’t eaten that I can tell in five days except my yellow tang.
Corals are completely closed except for my flower anemone and bubble anemones. Montipora have bleached out.

Come to find out he didn’t completely fall in. My mesh screen cover held up.

Up until that day everything was doing great. I do need to double check water parameters. Alk was a little high 12.5 ( I’m using Red Sea recipe normal range is 11.5) PH is low at 7.97

I’m sure you probably checked, but just brainstorming here - any chance the cat broke or unplugged a heater? Maybe peed in the water and spiked ammonia, plus whatever other stuff is in cat pee…
