I have installed an overflow and having some issues. If you wanted to absolutely maximize flow and no worry at all about noise, would it be best to not have any additions? ie , durso, beananimal etc.

Thanks in advance.

What issue are you having? Either way you go, your main drain should be at full siphon. Most have to dial it back with a gate valve.

I set up a new tank in another room and have it plumbed into my main sump. I suspect the issue is that there is a 10 foot nearly horizontal run. Made some minor adjustments and seems ok now. Not confident as not entirely certain why it over flowed last nite. Maybe I could take a video?

Could be many things, without actually seeing how you have it plumbed we are all just guessing.

What stands out to me could be too much flow, improperly plumbed or gravity working against you.

Are you using all 3 drains?

Is the 10 ft horizontal run a gravity drain? That could definitely be problematic. I could see the flow through that being very unstable with air trapped in the line if it is small diameter and you are trying to push a lot of flow.
