Water Changes.
A lot of times I get asked how do I keep my tank so clean and pristine. I truly believe in a lot of water changes to get all the contaminants out of the water. The main display is 120 gallons and the sump is 40 for a total of 160 gallons of water. Twice a week I do something by changing the water. On Wednesdays I normally do 10 gallons just a quick 2 5 gallon bucket change. I also test my chemicals on Wednesday and add anything needed. Then on the weekend I do a bigger water change of 20 to 25 gallons of water. This is the day that I will also clean up the sump. Clean the protein skimmer some of the cleaning sponges etc. So in total I'm doing 30 to 35 gallons of water per week which is 20% of my tank. By doing this the water is always Crystal clear clean and I don't have any problems. So I truly believe if you put in the work you can maintain a beautiful tank with very little maintenance.

First day of changing light schedule. Some corals look like they may have lighten up or very slight bleaching. Maybe I was giving too much light. To be continued...

Oh also, last night I took this video. I have a small colony of spaghetti worms. Watch them devour this crab molt. Lol

WATER CHANGE

Water changes water changes water changes. I do get asked sometimes how do I keep my tank so clean and pristine and I always explain it's the water changes. I have a 120 gallon main display in a 40 gallon sump. Twice a week I do something with the water. On Wednesdays I normally do a quick change of 10 gallons just two 5 gallon buckets. On the weekends though I will change 20 to 25 gallons of water out and clean out some of my sponges in my sump. I really do believe with me changing the water out and giving them fresh nutrients keeping the pH the way it's supposed to be and giving them the perfect water really keeps my tank the way it is. So all together I do about 35 gallons per week out of my tank. And this seems to help me and really keep my tank where I wanted to be
