Hey coral friends.

I just got this guy exactly one week ago and had a small section melting on the left side. Fast forward several days and today looks like this. How do I fix it? Please and thank you!!

That’s been going on for a while based on the colour of the skeleton. If your parameters are good it should recover once you fix the root cause. Where did you buy it from?

How do I fix the root cause? Should I just cut it off?

It’s a wall hammer, so there’s really no stopping it IME.
If you see any recession the whole things gonna die.
Walls are extremely hard to keep alive compared to their branching counterparts.

The fact the vendor sold it with a spot melting already says a lot about that vendor

That’s last thing you want to do. Since this has been going on before you got it I would set aside parameters for now. Did you dip it before putting it in the tank? If so what method? That’s a pretty unhealthy coral so it may just be a wait and see game.

My frogspawn is just fine, and there's 7 other corals in this tank that are all healthy... It's just my coral QT tank.
So she's a gonner it appears then. Thanks for the info everyone I appreciate you all very much. ❤️
