I have had a good sized melanurus wrasse for a month in my 80 gallon. He is in there with a kole tang I've had for 8 years, a yellow watchman and a mandarin. I have bird's-nest and a couple acros other than softie lps. He was fine this morning and I got home and saw a cut or hole on his belly. I was thinking he either stabbed himself on the bird nest or the tang sliced him. He eats like a pig and is acting normal. Should I be worried or do anything for him? Thanks

This is a superficial injury and best treatment is isolation in a sterile tank using seachem Neoplex

Can you tell if the hole goes through into the abdomen? If not, it should heal on its own.

Do you have a treatment tank available if you need to use antibiotics?

I do not but I can make one. It doesn't appear to have exposed any organs but it is close. I'll keep an eye on it and try to move him tomorrow. Thanks
