Jeff is new to the hobby, has a new 20 gallon tank, and he just can't wait. He decides to jump the gun on his cycle and put fish anyway. He heard that clownfish are hardy, so he goes to the store, gets five clownfish, and puts them in his tank. Three die within the first 6 hours (oh my!) so he heads right back to the LFS to get three more, and puts the three new clownfish in his tank. The next morning two of them are dead, so he gives up on clownfish. His friend Mary says that she has some damsels that are even hardier than the clownfish, so he trades her two clownfish for three damsels, and puts them in his tank that day. The next morning, one damsel and one clownfish are dead. He says, “screw it, I've always wanted a Dory” so he goes down to an LFS and gets a blue hippo tang, and puts it in the tank. At this point, how many fish does he have in his tank?
