Does anyone have suggestions on the best way to quiet the anti-siphon hole that's in the return pipe without negating the benefit of it?

Wow is it loud!!!

I would probably get a new pvc fitting. Just be sure to set the loc line nozzles high enough so the siphon breaks when the return pump is off.

Not the dripping water, they drill a hole in the front of the return pipe elbow before it connects to the Loc line. It's spraying a jet of water against he overflow. That's what's really loud. I have a plastic ratchet clamp in front of it now that has quieted it down some, but not much.

Ok. Either plug it or get a new piece.

Just remember the nozzles (even with the hole). Don't want to overflow the sump :).

I'll have to see what I can work out with the stock first but may end up with that.

I did get the biggest sump I could fit in the stand to help avoid overflows in case of too much back-flow in a power outage.

I will take pictures when I get home. I even squeezed in a manifold.

I have the stock Marineland stand. Wish I had something else. Not sure how I'd have gotten it into the office though as it's tight corners and narrow doors. I like the ability to take the panels off like you have. Next tank maybe.

I probably need to look into what others recommend too. I took a black zip tie and slid it through the overflow grate and put the tip into the anti-siphon hole. It doesn't plug it completely but does quiet it.
