Hi all,

I purchased a Waterbox 90.3 thats 59 gal and 35.4" × 19.7" × 21.7". I'm planning on a mixed reef but mostly soft and LPS. I can't find any coverage or recommended dimenions / tank size on the Reefi site. Could a single Uno 2.1 handle the 35" tank up to LPS?

I don't need anything crazy, I'd be more concerned about the lighting being uneven or look weird. It seems maybe comparable in power to the Radion XR30 but maybe not quite as much coverage. I'd like to save some $ and get a single fixture. Thank you in advance!

From everything I have seen you would have more than enough light with a single 2.1. It comes with a 120degree lens and that is what I would run, but for sps you would need some suppliment lighting.
As far as softy and lps goes way way yes.

That's what I was thinking. Might consider something used like a Radion XR30 or Neptune Sky as well.

It can cover the 3 foot width if you hang it high enough. The issue will be that, since the tank has a 20" width, you would have light spill out the front and back if you have a 3' circle of light. So, 2 units would be ideal for any fixture of that puck or small panel style LED.

A 32" reefbreeders photon would be another option.

I really want to give Reefi a shot but I’m worried about that with only a 20” deep tank. What do you think about the Kessil AP9X?

The Reefi will work fine on a 20" tank, just mount and adjust power accordingly. I haven't personally used Kessil lights, but a AP9X would cover a 3' tank with soft and LPS corals.

Email Daniel at Reefi. He’s very responsive and helpful. I love my Reefi 2.0 on my 4ft tank but I’m running 3x at 12 inch with 90 deg reflectors. Another option is 1 uno and some strip lights for fills later if needed

at 12 inches above water line in 27inches of water I get a 24 x 24 foot print using 90 degree reeflectors. I have 4 of the Reefi Labs Uno 2.1's over an 8ft tank.

I love these lights. Pics taken a year apart, you can see how much more growth that stylo has in the big tank pic, it's getting close to it's year and half birthday.

Someone mentioned buying used radions. New reefi are $480 I think and used xr30 are the same price or more. The reefi have a 3 yr warranty. If your not sold yet I don't know what else to tell ya :)

What does your shedule look like? I am trying to decide on how long I want my peak to be at 4 or 5 hours

My tank is about that size. I use one uno2.0. Use the 120 lens not the 90. The 90 lens is what comes installed and is crap coverage when you’re only using one fixture on that size of tank. The 120 is in the box and an easy swap.

It will be plenty bright and coverage will be okay. Spill is a slight issue with the length vs width of the tank but it’s not terrible. And you will have some fall off on the very ends. Getting the color to what you like will take some playing with it.

I love it. Upgrading to a bigger tank and adding a second on it. No real complaints it’s been great.
