Went to work today and the boss said he didn't want us driving on slick roads so he sent us home. I was planning on changing water in the 45 and 75 tonight anyways.... I ended up pulling my sump from my 75 and cleaning it and all related components... Took apart the return pump and skimmer and soaked them both in vinegar and got them both shiny... Cleaned up my heater, removed all the sand and the chunk of rock from my fuge and left it empty (going to just put chaeto in it by itself). Tried mounting my dual BRS reactor but it's too long so I had to stick with the single one. Mounted a power strip on screws that kept falling off the Velcro I had it on. Mounted an under cabinet light. Changed 12 gallons of water, and filled my 10 gallon top off with RODI.

Changed 5 gallons in the 45 and cleaned the skimmer (one sump cleaning was enough for one day). Filled the top off.

Changed 4 gallons in my frag tank (didn't clean anything on it)..

Wife asked how I wasn't puking when I was elbow deep in that sump. It was stinky...

Pictures! Sounds like LOTS of fun! Definitely easier to do dry that after it has been wet. But we reefers never think that far ahead and just want the tank wet ASAP [emoji6]

I have unions and shut off's for the drain and pump (makes it somewhat easier to pull). This was my first tank with a sump, and I used gate valves on my 45 when I set it up. I'm in the market for a 150 and I plan to use what I have learned from the 75 and 45 to set it up exactly how I want it the first time.
