Depending on your lights and whether or not you get/make a cover for the boxes, you should plan on removing algae maybe once a quarter... for me it just built up on the top of the inside wall... kind of like a mini algae scrubber ;)

on most , secondary are inserts ,will have a distinct line showing, they "pop" upward to remove and clean without disturbing the actual overflow box
at least i hope they still make em' like that...

This one has the plates fused together with a piece of plastic running down the middle.
*if you try sticking something between the walls, you can't scrape the whole area, only half

But, this design is on thousands of tanks - mine was a Oceanic and if they used them you know they must be OK ;)

Again, my only complaint is that I couldn't find one large enough for 3 bulkheads.

Looks like it's 'welded' together.

But hey, you have 2 of them, so you *could* just use one for the return... the drain in that box would probably need to be at least a trickle though to keep water moving. I wouldn't do 2 full siphon and only 1 ER drain.

I know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on plumbing other than crap flows downhill.

I'll need to research everything and still get explained in crayon.
I'm happy to help! Plumbed my 90 and my current tank.

It's getting cold so ants are in full freak out mode.

Just no.

IMG_20240920_083746976.jpg
Mix 2 parts powdered sugar and 1 part Borax then take a half teaspoon or so and put it right where the ants are coming in.
