The one I have doesn't lose settings.
At least, it hasn't yet.

Maybe just an issue with mine :thinking-face: not critical though, it was on my Pico until I upgraded the return on it, and then I chucked in the bid for the quarantine tank anyway
Well 50/50 huh. Sounds like a testing opportunity to me. I'll buy one and see, lol.

Mines like 3 yrs old, maybe they've fixed it for newer models of it or something.

Hey Internet, what do I do with this Duncan colony? How do I glue it? Glueing where it was cut on the end or just anywhere on the bottom?
IMG_20230321_114600966.jpg
I'm no expert, but my vote would be to glue it where it was cut to leave as much healthy tissue as possible.

PS my coral sensei told me that Duncans don't like to be out of the water very long. Looks like a nice piece.

This Duncan is one handsome addition. Very pleased with it, very purply teal colors. Cool branching shape. Mounted so I didn't anger the flesh on the bottom. Sexy shrimp all over this morning. Looks out and happy!

Ok, so further reflection on where I set up this tank... Not my favorite. It was kinda not planned, it's in my kids room because their dresser was empty and sturdy. And they like it, but I like the tank more and I don't want to be in there all the time doing things. So, I found it fits on a night stand I had, it's super sturdy, but low. So until I source another suitable stand or furniture, "this'll do pig, this'll do."

Duncan does have some thin spots on the bottom, possibly from the sand or transit, it was just sitting on it's bottom in the bag too, but it's out and fluffy and looking nice so hopefully it recovers and doesn't take a turn.

A little preview of things to come in the Evo... got these in my shipment, the biggest hammer shipped fine (left), the frogspawn (middle) and micro torch ( right) were sad upon arrival. In fact I thought the torch was completely gone. But so far she's holding on. I've decided to keep it in this temp frag tank for a while longer to try to get it to recover before transferring. It looks better every day. The torch was showing a lot of skeleton and still see some even when it's as fluffy as it gets.

I do have Lugol's and some coral aminos coming to try to get conditions favorable for tissue growth. It's in a 5g and I've been doing daily half gallon water changes for stability and also dosing N and P. I brought N to almost 5ppm and P to .09 . My thinking was if both N and P were 0, things would continue to deteriorate. Yesterday the torch had one one little piece that extended a half inch so much happier than it first was.

Any other tips welcome by seasoned reefers! This is a first for me, usually things arrive either fine or completely dead, so trying to save one is new to me.

What you're sounds sounds like the right plan. Keep it stable to allow recovery. I would only move to dip it if the tissue around the neck starts receding.
The frogspawn came in receding, but hasn't gone farther. Torch probably too, but there wasn't much to recede it was much smaller, or it already went that far, I dunno.

Originally did an iodine dip (seachem's reef dip, iodine based), that's all I had on hand. Ordered brighwell's Lugol's, hopefully will be here Monday/Tuesday

These pics were day 1.

Thanks for taking a look. New to these types and want to make sure I'm going in the right direction.

I have not touched them since adding them, I have read they don't like being adjusted often. 2 of the three came in with no frag plug, I added those after dipping (the purple ones) so I'm sure that was stressful as well.

Hoping for a recovery since they look neat and they'd be my first and those are always special, lol.

Just curious, so you have a yellow watchman goby shrimp pair, 3 sexy shrimp, 2 clownfish, and a neon goby? Was just curious because I am trying to plan what I am going to put in my nano tank
