Triple post! I’m excited, today the orphek arrives as does Bog Momma, Atlas’ new wife. I hope they like each other.

I’ll probably scare both the Amazon driver as well as UPS, because it’s raining and no kne is home today. Luckily I’m right across the street so when I see them pulling down, I’ll probably snatch up Russ and scurry across hoping they don’t look at me like a parcel thief lol. I can sit both down and they should be fine til I get home today; the betta will be the most concern. If I can coax the girls into their crates and amuse Russ with some cartoons long enough to acclimate that will be fine. Let’s hope all three parties involved decide to cooperate.

Currently both dogs are snoring. And yes, Melody does have a wide booty lol. Riv is losing her hair. She chews from nerves and I just can’t get her to stop :( She’s a little rough looking.

Leptastrea has smaller polyps and a completely different skeleton structure. The last photo you shared definitely looks more like Leptastrea with the way the polyps are visible. Favia don't have "lashes", Leptastrea does. Favia has feeding tentacles, Leptastrea doesn't.

The thing with Favias is they come in different shapes and sizes whereas Leptastrea are almost all the same just with different color variations.

This tracking is beyond confusing.

But also LOOK AT THE SIZE OF BIG MOMMA! Atlas’ new wife. Ignore the crud in the bucket, it sits outside usually but she’s in an algae barn jar acclimating lol

It’s here! I put it in the sump for a bit to see it. It’s beautiful. Won’t stay there long, just wanted to set the app and all up. (Sumps freshwater currently so no salt).

I have to figure the mounting hardware out. It didn’t supply the parts that goes into the ceiling, and I have no idea what some of the parts are even for lol.

Also, Blu is holding. There’s not a thought behind those eyes, only the slight sleep deprivation of a father swishing eggies every few mins for the next 14 days

Is this right? I honestly have no clue what I’m doing. There were four screws and this was the only logical spot. There was no instructions lol. This is what will go on the ceiling thingy that I have to buy XD

Today not only did we hang the light, but it was waterchange day.

The macs got a good 50%. Atlas is flirting. Big Momma isn’t impressed. I moved Goosys tank to the bottom of the 15 flex cabinet. Removed duckweed from my alien with the sinking issue.

The three in the bedroom got top offs, as they evaporated a bit and didn’t need a vac.

I have realized I have too many tanks going lol. I still need to trim and redo the 9 gallon. A friend is going to give me his pallifina and rubra stock as well as a stand for a 20 long. I have to redo the studio in order to get it in there though. I’m not sure what kind of stand but I’m hoping I have room for the ten gallon currently on the wood stove and maybe the three gallon as well.
This is the fifteen flex:

Another teenier shrimp next to the bigger one

And this is the nine gallon. lol.
IMG_9330.jpeg

And the top of the waterline. Too much duckweed

I am planning a redo on this. The rocks are fake but also annoying. I think I have a piece of wood outside I’ll place it in here instead. Maybe it’ll look ok. Will work on this one tomorrow

Sienna isn’t doing well. Since about Rdnewray she’s been at the surface breathing heavy. Water params are all in order and I don’t think the waterchange last Sunday did anything, as the other two in the bedroom as well as thw nine gallon fifteen gallon and other three gallon would be showing issues as well. I’ve had her a year and a few days, and the person whom I had gotten her from said she was at least a year when I got her. So she’s about two, maybe two and a half :(
Her color is slightly faded but otherwise she looks ok. No fin issues, no spots or gold flecking under flash light. Clear eyes. Sigh. I think it’s almost her time. Sometimes having fish sucks
IMG_9336.jpeg

My other senior lady, Toph has developed a tumor in her cheek. She’s slowed down more too. She is older than Sienna. She’s also blind. I thought for sure I’d have more issues with her before Sienna started to show her age. I was able to get a decent photo of Tophs scales. I love how different the colors are. Zoom in to appreciate.

On the good news side, Atlas and Big mama are spawning. I have a towel over them and I’ll uncover in about three days. They are fine, no need for feedings of her until then and he will go about a month without food, if he holds to term.

Woke up and checked on Sienna this am. I did a large water change yesterday, as it never really hurts to give a refresh. She seemed to settle down shortly after, exhausted and Tucker herself into bed on her Java fern. It was a favorite resting spot for her. This morning she’s still there, resting forever. I’ll bury her this afternoon when I get home. It’s too dark and won’t be light til well after I’m gone. I’ll miss her. I hate domestic betta genetics so much. She wasn’t young, around two and a half? But that’s more middle aged than old.

It’s also dad’s birthday, so that’s fun. I guess he got a fish as a present in heaven lol.
