Ok I have a random question.
I was super dumb and bought an API reef test kit to test my phosphate, but now realized I have Salifert tests which do Mg, Calcium and Alk.
Am I better just running the salifert tests and taking the API kit back and putting that $$ towards a Hanna for phosphate?

I don't know how reliable the API is for Phosphate. If you can return it for a Salifert, you should be fine. If you want to spend the extra money on the Hannah, that is fine too...

Hanna Phospahte is the way to go for SURE!!! I do love salifert for calcium and alk though.

Hanna Phospahte is the way to go for SURE!!! I do love salifert for calcium and alk though.

The Salifert Phosphate test is a color match test. The Hannah will give you a more accurate number.

I have never owned an API test for Phosphate so I can't give a reliable answer for if it is accurate or not.
