I have a dedicated sitting room in the front of the house just off my office:

I love that neon light you have of Fish Styx!

Mine is in the main entertainment area in our basement. That’s where we spend a lot of our time, it’s where the TV is.

Originally it was going to go in my office until my wife found out what the start up cost would be - then she said it needed to be where we could all enjoy it.

I’m glad it ended up there. I love it at night when it lights of the basement. I also don’t want to be spending any more time in the office outside of work hours.

My original 250 had a place in the plans for the extension.
Next to a closet with a sink for easy maintenance.
Opposite a bow window, but there was no other way.
Now my 100 sits there.

I picked a load bearing wall closest to the main support of the house perpendicular to the joists in the basement. I also picked the spot where I didnt have any other appliances or anything for the weight and over my open basement where I can brace the supports for extra peace of mind for the weight!

The spot where mine had to go was, unfortunately, parallel to the joists. I had to reinforce the floor underneath to carry the weight:

The main reason I am married fifty years is because I put my tank in my Workshop/Man cave. With all the salt water floods I have this is the proper place for it and it's on a concrete floor.
