I can’t see how anyone can advice you at this point since you haven’t shared what about the kessils the wife didn’t like.
27 years of marriage has taught me that ‘why’ doesn’t matter…..we just do what we’re told.
My wife likes the look of Hydra32’s so that’s what I got. ;)

i have a coralcare gen2 for sale which would fit your tank footprint very well, but you would need to either mount from the ceiling using the hanging kit, wall mount with brackets, or a diy mounting arm mounted behind the tank.

The why absolutely matters in this case as if we don’t know the why we can’t advice on the how ;)

I have a 4-foot Waterbox that I recently swapped out lights. I had 3 kressil 360x on an Aquatic Life 4-foot T5 fixture. I now have a 4-foot Illumagic Blaze X with the mounting arms. I like the look and so do the coral. Also my wife doesn't mind how they look but then my tank is in the basement and she only goes down to do laundry once or twice a week for a few minutes at a time. :)

Not cheap, but I always like my GHL Mitras. You can get them in white or black shell color, and they come in either 4-puck or 6-puck versions.

Can be hung via wires from ceiling or using their mounting system, both sold separately.

I've also had the freshwater versions over my old waterbox clear.

Interesting. My wife hates the Kessils too. The shimmer gives her a headache. I swapped over to Radions with the diffuser and haven't looked back. We are very happy and pleased with the Radions and will be sticking with it for a long time to come. They are not cheap but do last for while but most importantly results...proven results.

Best for tank would be T5 hybrid with kessils IMO
Yes, T5 and Kessil are good but even better IMO would be MH/VHO. I still have a PFO fixture from 25 years ago and is still in great shape. I haven't used it this time around because of the higher energy use required to run with a chiller, (which I also still Have). I'm retired now and I am supposed to be watching money a little closer but that hasn't worked out so good.20180718_112907.jpg
