:):):):)Hi guys,

I'm in the process of setting up a 520 gallon new system from Shuran. And this time I am being very patient and taking my time. So I have now spent the better part of a week to scape the rocks in the garage. So to the actual question, I am debating with myself whether to raise the rock structures from the bottom of the tank with acrylic rods or pvc piping to allow better flow under the massive rock formations.

What would you guys have done? I am going for a shallow sand bed.

Any comments or advice is very much appreciated.

IMOP that is wonderful plan.
I seen on line somewhere 1" clear acrylic rods that would work nicely for this.

Good luck and please share pics when your done.
IMOP I would skip the sand all together but that is a debate for another thread I don't wish to participate in ;)
