my wife is sick of being a hockey widdow, she wanted a sweep, either team. She thought I would stop watching when the Caps went out. She has been thinking that every year for 14 years.....

My Brother-in-law is career Navy. The Redwings have called his command during every series of the playoffs and invited them to come to the game. I was fortunate enough to be invited to game 2 vs Chicago and they announced their presence and location over the P.A. My Brother-in-law will be at tonights game and there is some sort of tribute to the armed forces. He will be on the ice for this tribute. Each time they receive an invitation one of the players calls personally. It is awsome because my B.I.L. has been either out of state or overseas for much of the Redwing's long run of greatness. Finally he is stationed in Detroit again. Not only do the Wings make the final, but he is invited by them to attend many games on their run. Very Cool.
Thats cool man, as a former "bubblehead" I think thats great! Kinda makes me wish the Pens did that and I was still in the Navy.
So is your B.I.L. sailing the USS Neversail for shore duty? What rate is he?
Go Navy
I am not military but by rate I assume you mean rank (civi word?) LOL
He is a Chief. He just returned from seaduty a couple of months ago. He is in the midst of his last couple of years and with 2 children he jumped at the chance to be stationed here. (home) In the last several years he has been stationed in Virginia, Italy, Maine, Florida and here.
Sorry I meant job?
LOL sorry, He repairs and maintains electronis such as GPS, Radar, Communications equipt. ect... Honestly I am not sure what he is doing in Detroit but that is what he spent his career doing.
Recruiter probably...
Malkin is playing like a little BiT*&... He should be slapped.
I wouldn't have known Crosby and Malkin even played if it weren't for their cheap, Classless, and stupid penalties. Boy it's too bad the Wings are so old and tired. The score could of been 10-0. I think the Pens celebrated their 6 minutes of glory a little too much.
