KS5000 Aqua medic Kalk stirrer finally dead after 13 years.

What Kalk Stirrer can handle an 850 gallon sps lps reef ...... seems my choices are limited and see nothing that can support an 850 gallon reef.
The KS5000 is no longer made.

I don't think there is one make like that any more..

I would try Geo's Reef. They have a large model that may be suitable. Also possible that they could customize to you.

Thanks, but do not want a pump driven one. Want a stirrer paddle wheel type.

I'd contact avast marine and see if they can make a custom one. If they cannot im sure Bill at aquarium engineer can.

Years ago I built a stirrer-based kalkwasser reactor using a cheap Harbor Freight drill press and a nalgene propeller stirrer. The drill press was on a timer to periodically stir the kalk during the day. Although pretty low-tech, it actually worked nicely.
