Thanks bud.

I'm trying to get it done. I'm going to do the final capacity of the sump in a few minutes.
Just sitting around waiting on epoxy to dry.

Ok sump total if filled to top is 296 gallons ;Singing
So minus 40 gallons or so. I'll measure the water I put in it for a final.

Hey I was building a sump so I figured go as big as you can and still get into it if need be. Sump measures out to in two parts to minus out the pump area not wet. 48X42.5" + 33X24.5" X 24":)

Going out to put another coat on now that the sump is assembled and cut hole for pump hook up before I do that.
I will post some pictures in a few minutes.

So I re-ran the calculations on the display tank and from multiple sources I'm getting 436 - 435.27 I had thought that I was going to be at 428. But hay I might stick with that due to overflow. No wait forget about that display size is display size right. We are not talking actual capacity lol. 436 it is lol.

Ok so I can be a little silly but who cares. I'm excited about the tank and every day it gets closer. I'm moving fast but not pushing anything. ?I have a bunch of stuff to do while waiting on the stuff that can't be hurried.

Wow coffee is doing the trick right now. I need to go run around the house a few times to burn it off lol.

What’s left of the old tank. 90 gallon sump still running with skimmer etc.

Hard to believe that this is mostly what the old tank sat on. That and what the sump sits on above.

Painted most of new stand and sump non wet areas last night. Going to finish that today.

Ok so I started water testing the sump and quickly realized that I did not screw any of the partition panels to the bottom. couple moved and water went underneath. hay at least I sealed the bottom edges really well before putting the bottom on. So I how I missed those darn panels. Must of been the 50 other Christmas things I was doing at the time. More photos to follow.

Working on overflow box. This is PVC board.
I will be installing it on am angle so that it doesn't impeed any flow like a rectangle would. Yes I lose a little bit of real state but I think I can miss that little section lol.
More pictures to come.

The over flow walls are done. Well glued together and I will be using the egg crate stuff pictures for the top instead of teeth. Should allow great flow. Overflow panels will get epoxied then siliconed to the glass and bottom. Trying to figure out how to add in a coast to coast connection. I have some 3" PVC pipe I may make a window in it and tie it into the overflow box. I will cut it right down the middle in half and attach it to the tank.

Help friends and #DIYWIZARD
Ok so need opinions here. Should I make the coast to coast like this. Currently this egg crate is 2" which is three squares but could go to 2 squares.

Or should I do it this way. I could quarter the pipe so it doesn't stick off the glass much. Once again 2 or 3 squares?

Once this is figured out the fi al piece will be pitched or not pitched taking opinions on that too lol. Shouldn't make a difference if it's level or not still going to be pulling water.
