Kickin’ it old school - What are your must have books?

So I’m looking at beginning collecting reefing/saltwater books, to have for reference as well as a conversation piece. Back when I started I couldn’t afford the books, and now they’re virtually non existent.

With that said, what books are on your must have list? The more books listed the better.

Now that that's out of the way, I have one at home, something like "marine life" or "marine biology" or something like that.

@Gtinnel has a bunch that he got fairly affordably to my knowledge.

Bob Fenner's book, Conscientious Marine Aquarist was a cornerstone for many a reefkeeper back in the day, and is thee book that got me started in the hobby.

IIRC there is a first edition from 1997 and a revised second edition published in 2008.

If I ever returned them I’m sure they wouldn’t be cheap. I don’t know right off what the late fee is on a library book that is about 25 years late.

Kind of conversation pieces, but also really cool bits of history. On the left, 4th edition 1976 (originally published in 1959), and 1975 on the right.

A more contemporary one is Boerneman's 'Aquarium Corals'.

A nice (if incomplete) series is Michael's 'Reef Fishes' series.
