@Nfd552 Tank is looking awesome! Cube tanks for the win, haha. I am about to start filling mine up with water today. I also ordered one of those wifi surge protectors (poor man's apex) for my fuge light, skimmer and a few other equipment.

Thanks man!

Good deal on the strips...constant, scheduling, countdown timer, labeling, individual or entire strip control. My only issue is the main cord could be a little longer based on my setup and where my outlet is, but i made it work. And yea...we can’t all afford an Apex lol

I love this build. I especially like the additional cabinet you added. I have the same one in dark brown for bathroom storage, but this application looks awesome. I might copy that idea.

Nice build, if I can I stealing your idea with that cabinet next to the stand. I want a spot for my controller and dosing pumps. Keep the updates coming.

Sorry i haven’t been able to post, been busy. Started moving stuff over last week. Mainly corals, the reason i got those pjs was because i couldn’t net any of my existing fish. They would just dive into the rockscape. Here are some corals moved over. I didn’t permanently mount any yet so I Can figure out if they like the spots.
( Pictures taken with ghetto pill bottle filter lol)

As of this morning i have moved over all but one fish, a wrasse who was hiding last night. All corals are moved over. I neatly placed them where i thought they looked best, and would thrive the best. Woke up this am and i guess my urchin and Halloween hermit didn’t like those spots and pushed a bunch to the sand bed. I will leave most of them down there for now, but will eventually move then to the scape. I ordered a single frag mag rack for the birds nest to put further into the back left corner. It’s just taking up took mush valuable space where it is.

After some time of corals acclimating to the lighting, they’ve been moved to new locations on the rock and mostly off the sand bed. Some of these were under my gen2 radion and not the gen4 in the old tank so i figured it wouldnt hurt to acclimate them to the nicer lighting. I moved over my clown, nem (who started hosting the week i started this tank up,) kole eye tang(for landscaping purposes he will do well) coral beauty, and debating the melanarius wrasse i had bc he likes to mess with the hermits and snails and the lack of a top at this moment, but he’s too cool to get rid of so he went in today. I also bought those pj cardinals, but can only seem to locate one of them today. ‍♂️
I finished cleaning out my old tank/sump today which is ready for the move to the garage and ready for a nice vinegar/citric acid bath to clean it up.
I also brought some damsels i had in the original tank to the fish store so they can move to their next home and in return the salesman offered me any frag is like. I grabbed an acan since i always had trouble with acans in my original tank i figured it was a good way to test them out in the new waterbox.
I’ve also been offered a co reactor from @Curryb15 which i hopped all over and am excited to hook up to see the potential difference it will make.
The nyos skimmer is doing it job well. Took some time to figure out the dual adjustments, but all good to go now

Here’s a shot of the app from the WiFi surge protector strips. Only using one of the two so far. It’s nice to be able to individually label each outlet, and individually control each outlet

Does that app allow for a "timer"? So let's say you want to turn off all water movement for 15 min then turn back on automatically. Can it do it?

Thanks, and BTW absolutely love how you are doing this. What an inspiration for us all.

@Nfd552 I have this tank in black on order as of 2 days ago from Marine Depot! I am so excited to get it up and running. I will likely get those surge protectors and copy your idea for a side cabinet. I wont yet be using a DC pump or a probe heater, as I am on a budget so I will be doing everything in stages. For now, my nicely calibrated Aqueon PRO heater will suffice, and I will get a Sicce 750 gph pump for the return which I can adjust manually. I will likely get a Nero 5 circ pump for mine. I like the broad surface area of the blades.

So far this build looks fantastic! I will likely take lots of pictures of mine as I go! Keep us all posted!

How are you liking the single MP40 on one side? Any dead spots in the opposite corner? Do you feel it's enough flow for the tank?

You can create a schedule for each outlet and you run what they call a countdown. I don’t run either, they are just on 24/7 on my setup so I’m not too familiar with their workings for that

I honestly think i have great flow throughout with the mp40 and the dc pump. In my first tank i experienced a lot of diatoms and lack of flow def assisted that. This combo def has water moving good. Couple spots are even to fast for some corals. I’m still figuring out who likes to be where in the tank.

So it’s been some time since any updates on the waterbox. Haven’t really had much change in things until recent. I got the co2 scrubber from a buddy, but haven’t had time to figure out how to adapt the 3/8” tube to the 1/4” skimmer fitting. Also won an rbta on an Facebook auction, and had a goni and spa added to the shipment since they were cheap. Came on Wednesday. My clown hopped right into the rbta. The Goni has been acclimating to the tank for two days and I’m starting to finally see some extension, and the fruit loops look great! The Goni and zoas are hanging out in the frag rack for now till i find the right location for them. The rbta has moved a bit but looks fine
