What part of the country are you in? Once you get too far away from the border, there's a huge dropoff in quality of Mexican food.

Yeah Southern Cali has good Mexican food but it's definitely a little different than TexMex. I prefer TexMex, but I'm obviously partial from growing up in Houston.
I've had Mexican food in the midwest though, and wow.
