"Fancy" is relative; for me it is "out of my comfort zone". Has anyone around ever kept colorful Yumas long-term? I've tried but that is one coral I've struggled with and for me to get back in it needs to represent a challenge. I'd love to hear from any locals who've kept Yumas with success!

I bought a yellow Yuma a while back. It turns orange though quickly. Then slowly back to yellow. A month or two ago it disconnected from the rock and I haven't seen it since.

I kept a bright pink one for about 2 years and then it mysteriously melted. That's my ONLY success story and I've tried several. They come in incredible color combinations!

So, maybe lighting is the key???

I have kept my silver with green mouths for about 5 years now. They aren't anywhere close to colorful but they don't melt and they propagate easily and plentifully. They definitely don't like high flow and tend to like somewhat lower light 150 watt with pc actinics at bottom of tank.
