Orkin has an alarm the trucks. It goes off ar 70mph. If you go over 70 for 30 sec the GPS registers it and sends off an email. 3 times and I can be fired. So I drive at a blister pace of 69.9 mph.
That has translated to the pov.

45 minutes north of me.Indy two weeks how close is that
You got it. Bout 45 minutes from Southside of indyBet its around 40 miles or so I'm thinkin depending on where ol @F i s h y lives in Columbus..
What kind of setup do you use to rear the fry in? I think one of my cardinals is holding eggs in its mouth. I noticed it had a full jaw a few days ago, but hadn’t thought anything of it till i realized it had stopped eating and I looked it up. I remembered you said you had a pair clutching... I’m used to mouth brooders, but this is not an area I am experienced in. I’m not ready to be a grandmaaaaa.Someone was busy last night!
I'm expecting again today is day 1.
My current pair, well my current male hasn't held the eggs past 6 days. I think my purple tang stresses him to much.. If he holds them to day about 24 to 28 the babies should be well formed miniature replicas of the parents. What kind of setup do you use to rear the fry in? Thank you so much for writing all of that. I have read it three times now! Lol. I am screenshotting it, if you don’t mind? ;Snaphappy Easier to find for notes later. My current pair, well my current male hasn't held the eggs past 6 days. In the past I have offered a combo of frozen baby brine shrimp, frozen rotifers, and frozen cyclopeze. I don't like messing with live foods. You lose quite a few but I believe the ones you have left are much more hardy.
My current plan is to place the male if I can catch him in a breeder box in the DT when he is closer to spitting. That way when I am continuously feeding lots of food to the babies the DT can handle the extra volume and I don't have to worry about water quality.
I am also in the process of also setting up a 20L macro tank. I plan on this tank being heavily stocked with small pods, shrimp (the little clear ones that are scurrying around my tank) and other live natural foods. I will also feed them heavily with the frozen foods I mentioned before.
Hopefully it's a start towards success.
Hoping to work on macro tank tomorrow. Confining the babies to a small space and being able to make it progressively bigger is a great idea. I plan on making a sliding screen out of some egg crate and mesh for the 20L. I'll share my designs with you tomorrow.Thank you so much for writing all of that. I have read it three times now! Lol. I’m contemplating setting up a small tank, too, but I’m still trying to figure out what all I need to put into it. I was thinking a breeder box would be the best way to secure the male as well, but I wasn’t sure when I would need to capture him (dreading...night time sneak attack?). Glad frozen is an option as live isn’t viable for me, at the moment.
I’m not positive when they bred, so I’m going to try and watch him closely. I would hate for him to starve for a month just to lose the clutch. Please let me know how yours do, and I would love to see the macro tank when you set it up.
Keep an eye on your other fish around the expecting mr.Thank you so much for writing all of that. I have read it three times now! Lol. I am screenshotting it, if you don’t mind? ;Snaphappy Easier to find for notes later.

Yup... purple tang got the eggs last night... stupid bish...Keep an eye on your other fish around the expecting mr.
My yellow and purple tangs both uses to follow my male Cardinal around relentlessly at some point when they realized he had a mouth full of treats and wasn't sharing.
Not sure if that was the same issues @F i s h y had or not. I lost my 5 year old female after the fw dip and moving into the hospital tank. Not sure if I'm going to leave the one as a Singleton or try adding another. I like Cardinals in pairs.

What did you expect? Food is food. Survival of the fittest. If you want to try raising them you are going to have to separate them remember your glass box is a glass box and well food is foodYup... purple tang got the eggs last night... stupid bish...
I like this talkMy pt may be going to live in Colorado with @Reefing_addiction. She's got a Tomini already that is about an inch larger than my pt. Should keep it in check just fine.
With your tang having lateral line erosion you should correct the issue before adding any more tangsI like this talk
